*Monday Nugget* ACHIEVING A LASTING SUCCESS TAKES TIME

In today's fast pacing world of ours, no one want to wait for long anymore before achieving the success they so much desired. We want it all and want it now. We demand instant gratification. And when things aren't working as expected, we fret, get discouraged and then quit.

Everything in life is in stages and there is a natural process things must go through before they can reach their full potentials. Just as a baby born today won't be expected to start walking until few months after, so also should you expect not to instantly become successful just because you have put a plan in place. You have got to go through changes and grow. Just as everything has it own season, you don't start reaping when it's still your season of sowing. You sow then wait for the right season to reap.

Success in any endeavor is always derived from acting in harmony with the principles to which the success is tied. You may be able to hit your target for today but achieving a lasting success is about sustainability and growth. How much plans are in place to make the success a continuous process or lasting for a long time. What necessary investments are in place to sustain and increase this success for the next five to ten years or more.

Success is not just about hitting your target for today or for this month but more about how what you are doing today is driving you toward a greater goal. How what you are doing now would cumulate into something bigger and better in the nearest future. You have got to make long term plans and look far ahead into the future.

Instant gratification won't last for long unless there are backup plans in place to sustain and make it grow for a long time. That's why we see people being successful today with enough wealth but then by tomorrow, they are poorer than the church mouse. It's either they never planned for the success that came their way or they failed to make necessary plans to sustain and grow what they had.

It's so possible for you to have it all. You just can't have it all all at once.
