The ending is everything, plan all the way to it. For how shall one embark on a journey without a destination or a map on how to get there?
Having the end in mind helps to look far ahead into the future, to decide if the project/ course of action is worth undertaking. Never start anything until you have thought of the consequences and reflected on the end results.
Starting with a clear vision of the end ensure every step you take leads you in the right direction; to your goal. It ensure that the ladder is leaning against the right wall because if it isn't, it will only get you to the wrong place faster.
It's important to be sure the ladder is leaning against the right wall to avoid being effectively ineffective. You can be busy, very busy but not effective. You can only be effective when you are doing the right thing for the right purpose and moving in the right direction.
Having the end in mind helps to make adequate plans and avoid confusion by putting into consideration every known obstacle or detour that may be encountered and how to knit them in the bud. Your conclusion (the end) must be crystal clear and you must keep it constantly in mind.
Finally, whatever plan you put in place, ensure it include alternatives and flexibilities for easier adaptation should in case unforeseen obstacles arose on the way.
Remember, it's the end that justify all your efforts. Let the end be more glorious that the beginning.
